Non-Toxic Living Room Essentials

The quality of things in our environment play a huge factor in achieving optimal health. Even though we cannot control everything about our environment (indoors and outdoors), there are many things we can control with the intention to reduce our toxin exposure and foster optimal health. Since it can be overwhelming when shifting to a non-toxic lifestyle, I always recommend taking baby steps and focusing on one area at a time. Up this week, the living room. Below, I am sharing some of my favorite HWH Approved, healthier choices for your living room.

Did you know I have a combined background in textiles & design as well as holistic health & nutrition? Interweaving these passions is something I love to do. Hopefully these guides make your life easier and healthier!

3. Throws

Non-Toxic Home Essentials

Lifekind

A gem of a company offering the most posh, organic home textiles. They have a wide variety of organic textiles to pick from, they even make fleece and chenille organic throws which are hard to come by.

Coyuchi

Another product from Coyuchi that I am raving about, go figure! These organic cotton throws are so comforting, both to the touch and to my mind, knowing that they’re made safely.

4. Rugs

Loomy

94% of rugs sold today are made from plastic that release toxic chemicals. All of Loomy’s rugs are made from sustainable and non-toxic materials making them a safe choice for your home.

Lorena Canals has a line of non-toxic rugs that are handmade from cotton, wool, and natural dyes. Another awesome feature is these rugs are machine washable, saving you from taking it to the [toxic] rug cleaner.
